BACKGROUND: Two prenatal screening tests for congenital anomalies are offered to all pregnant women in the Netherlands on an opt-in basis: the Combined Test (CT) for Down syndrome at twelve weeks, and the Fetal Anomaly Scan (FAS) at around twenty weeks.
