Steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome poses a significant clinical challenge. Its pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated. In recent years, numerous studies have shown that podocyte-specific gene mutations may play important roles in the development of steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome.
