AIMS: Ryanodine receptor gene (RYR2) mutations are well known to cause catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). Recently, RYR2 exon 3 deletion has been identified in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and/or CPVT.
