Sixteen bacterial strains were isolated from root nodules of Vavilovia formosa plants originated from the North Ossetian State Natural Reserve (Caucasus, Russia). Phylogenetic analysis of these strains was performed using partial 16S rRNA gene and internally transcribed spacer (ITS) sequences.
