Clinical, pathologic, and genetic studies on two colorectal cancer-prone families have disclosed right-sided colonic flat adenomas and colorectal cancer. Adenomatous polyp counts exceeded those found in hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) but were fewer than in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP).
