Cell surface protein (CSP) typing is a typing strategy that employs comparative DNA sequence analysis of the 12-mer tandem repeat region of the AFUA_3G08890 gene. The CSP typing scheme and modified nomenclature was applied to a collection of 162 clinical Aspergillus fumigatus isolates from China.
