The incidence of hepatic mesenchymal hamartoma (HMH) is increased in patients with placental mesenchymal dysplasia (PMD), which appears to be caused by androgenetic-biparental mosaicism (ABM). We hypothesized that occult ABM might underlie cases of HMH with no known history of PMD.
