Autoimmune enteropathy is a rare syndrome which, in children in its most severe form, causes severe life-threatening diarrhoea and dehydration. The enteropathy seems to be part of a systemic disorder that can include neonatal diabetes mellitus, haematological abnormalities, severe allergies and eczema.
