Fifteen chloroplast microsatellite (cpSSR) markers were tested to analyze cytoplasmic variation in a set of watermelon accessions containing 67 Chinese watermelon germplasms (CWGs) and 19 non-Chinese watermelon germplasms (NCGs), and 11 were polymorphic.
