BACKGROUND: Epidermodysplasia verruciformis Lewandowsky-Lutz (EV) is a rare genodermatosis, characterised by development of numerous verrucous skin lesions caused by specific genotypes of human papillomaviruses belonging to the β-papillomavirus genus.
