Phage MudIIPR13 insertional mutagenesis of Erwinia amylovora CFBP1430 allowed us to isolate 6900 independent CmR mutants. The frequencies of different auxotrophs in this population indicated that MudIIPR13 had inserted randomly in E. amylovora.
