NF-kappaB Essential MOdulator (NEMO) has been shown to play a critical role in NF-kappaB activation, as the regulatory subunit of IkappaB kinase. Upon cell stimulation, NEMO can be modified through phosphorylation, sumoylation or ubiquitination.
