OBJECTIVE: To identify a novel human leukocyte antigen (HLA) A allele. METHODS: A new HLA-A allele was found during routine HLA genotyping by polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific oligonucleotide probes (PCR-SSOP) and sequencing-based typing (SBT).
