AIM: The aim of these investigations was to study three candidate genes for pre-eclampsia--epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor alpha, and angiotensinogen--in pregnant Sinhalese women from Sri Lanka, the first such study undertaken in this ethnic group.
