Abstract excerpt
Molybdenum (Mo) is an essential micronutrient for almost all organisms. In eukaryotes, it forms a part of the molybdenum cofactor (Moco), which is required for numerous enzymes involved in carbon, nitrogen and sulfur metabolism.
