In the search for an efficient producer of cellulolytic enzymes, Acremonium cellulolyticus strain C-1 was subjected to mutagenesis using UV-irradiation and N-methyl-N'nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (NTG) and strain CF-2612 was isolated.
