The pot-culture experiment and field studies were conducted to screen out and identify cadmium (Cd) excluders from 40 Chinese cabbage genotypes for food safety. The results of the pot-culture experiment indicated that the shoot Cd concentrations under three treatments (1.0, 2.5 and 5.0 mg Cd kg(-1) Soil) varied significantly (p<0.05), with average values of 0.70, 3.07 and 5.83 mg kg(-1), respectively.
