Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is an autosomal recessive inflammatory disease especially seen in Turks, Sephardic Jews, Armenians, and Arabs. Peritoneal and pleural inflammation, arthritis, erysipelas-like erythema, and arthralgia are well-known features of FMF.
