Abstract excerpt
The genetic diversity of HIV-1 subtypes circulating in three districts of northern Kenya, i.e., Turkana, Mandera, and Moyale, was studied. DNA sequences encoding a portion of the env-C2-V3 region of the virus were amplified by PCR and sequenced directly.
