CONCLUSION: The results of our study demonstrated the association between the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of GATA-3 and allergic rhinitis (AR). OBJECTIVE: AR is considered to be controlled by T-helper type 2 (Th2) cells. GATA-3 is the crucial transcription factor controlling the differentiation and function of Th2 cells.
