SPONASTRIME dysplasia (SD) is an autosomal recessive skeletal dysplasia of the spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia (SEMD) type. The name was derived from "spondylar and nasal alterations with striated metaphyses" [Fanconi et al. 1983; Helv Paediat Acta 38: 267-280].
