Neurotensin (NT), a gut peptide, plays important roles in gastrointestinal secretion, inflammation, and growth of normal and neoplastic tissues. cAMP regulates the secretion of hormones via its effector proteins protein kinase A (PKA) or Epac (exchange protein directly activated by cAMP).
