Phosphatidylglycerolphosphate synthase (PGPS; CDP-diacylglycerol glycerol 3-phosphate 3-phosphatidyltransferase; EC 2.7.8.5) catalyzes the first step in the synthesis of cardiolipin, an acidic phospholipid found in the mitochondrial inner membrane.
