OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotype and therapeutic efficacy during the early phase of lamivudine treatment. METHODS: Totally 595 patients with chronic hepatitis B were treated with lamivudine 100 mg/day for 12 months.
