Abstract excerpt
Bacterial strain 5bvl1, isolated from a chromium-contaminated wastewater treatment plant and identified as Ochrobactrum tritici, was resistant to a broad range of antibiotics, to Cr(VI), Ni(II), Co(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II), and was able to grow in the presence of 5% NaCl and within the pH range 4-10.
