Abstract excerpt
Neuroglycan C (NGC) is a transmembrane-type of chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan that is exclusively expressed in the central nervous system. NGC gene expression is developmentally regulated, and is altered by addiction to psychostimulants and by nerve lesion.
