Serine/threonine/tyrosine (STY) protein kinase from peanut is developmentally regulated and is induced by abiotic stresses. In addition, STY protein kinase activity is regulated by tyrosine phosphorylation. Kinetic mechanism of plant dual specificity protein kinases is not studied so far.
