Myxococcus xanthus RppA and MmrA are homologous to methyl-accepting chemotaxis proteins (MCPs) and to multidrug transporters, respectively. We reported previously that rppA-mmrA double mutant exhibited reduced colony expansion, agglutination, and polysaccharide levels.
