The putative porcine tumor suppressor gene FUS2 or N-acetyltransferase (Nat6) assigned to SSC13q21 spans 864-basepairs (bp) of genomic DNA, consisting of a single exon encoding a protein of 288 amino acids (aa), with 73% identity to the human and 74% to the mouse protein.
