Kaposi's sarcoma (KS)-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) proteins ORF57 (also known as MTA) and ORF50 (also known as RTA) act post-transcriptionally and transcriptionally to regulate viral lytic gene expression and synergistically activate certain early and late KSHV promoters.
