Analysis of the alpha-Gpdh locus, coding for the enzyme alpha-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase (glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase), was conducted using starch-gel electrophoresis on samples from one Irish and one Swedish population of the tick Ixodes ricinus.
