The acyl-CoA dehydrogenases are a family of mitochondrial flavoproteins involved in the catabolism of fatty and amino acids. Isobutyryl-CoA dehydrogenase (IBD) is involved in the catabolism of valine and catalyzes the conversion of isobutyryl-CoA to methacrylyl-CoA.
