Lipid composition of the cells of smooth (S form) and core-defective rough mutants (Ra, Rb & Re) of Salmonella minnesota has been studied. The readily-extractable lipids (RELs), acid-extractable lipids, and polar and nonpolar phospholipids have been analysed.
