Two distinct recombinant cDNA clones having homology to mouse laminin B1 have been isolated from an adult chicken eye library by cross-species nucleic acid hybridization. DNA sequence analysis identified one cDNA as the chicken homologue of the prototypic EHS laminin B1 chain.
