Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), or Lynch syndrome, is an autosomal dominant syndrome characterized by onset of colorectal cancer (CRC) at an early age, right-sided predominance, excess synchronous and metachronous colorectal neoplasms, and extracolonic neoplasms.
