The complete nucleotide sequence of two cryptic plasmids isolated from Lactobacillus plantarum strain AS1.2986 has been determined. The smaller plasmid, designated pLP2000, encodes a 37.0kDa Rep protein and has a 17bp sequence repeated 10 times.
