Analysis of insertion-deletion polymorphism of serotonin vector gene (SLC6A4) was carried out in Russian and Tatar men with acute alcoholic psychosis. Significant interpopulation differences in the distribution of SLC6A4 genotype and allele frequencies were revealed.
