Members of the interleukin-6 family of cytokines include leukaemia inhibitory factor (LIF), interleukin-6, interleukin-11, cardiotrophin, ciliary neurotropic growth factor, oncostatin M and the recently discovered cardiotropin-like cytokine (NNT-1).
