An in vitro system using Ri T-DNA transformed carrot roots as the host bearing simultaneously different arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi belonging to two genera Glomus intraradices (Smith and Schenck) and Gigaspora margarita (Becker and Hall) was developed.
