The DXS52 polymorphic locus mapping to the 5'-region of the blood-clotting factor VIII gene on the X chromosome was genotyped in seven Volga-Ural ethnic groups (Bashkirs, Tatars, Chuvashes, Maris, Mordovians, Udmurts, and Komis).
