Fatty aldehyde dehydrogenase (FALDH) is a microsomal enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of medium- and long-chain aliphatic aldehydes derived from metabolism of fatty alcohol, phytanic acid, ether glycerolipids and leukotriene B4.
