Lactoferrin is a multifunctional, iron-binding glycoprotein found in physiological fluids of mammals. In the present study, a gene encoding the N-terminal half (N-lobe) of bovine lactoferrin was cloned and expressed in cultured insect cells using a baculovirus expression system.
