OBJECTIVE: To study the epidemiologic aspects of a suspected outbreak of nosocomial invasive aspergillosis. METHODS: Sixteen Aspergillus fumigatus strains were isolated from bronchoalveolar washings or sputa of 10 patients during a 9-month period.
