Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by the combined occurrence of parathyroid, pancreatic endocrine, and anterior pituitary tumors. MEN1 has two characteristics; a hormone excess and a sometimes lethal outcome due to malignant tumors.
