A physical clone contig has been constructed, spanning 2 Mb on the proximal mouse X chromosome containing the mouse scurfy (sf) and tattered (Td) mutations. Extensive transcript mapping in this interval has identified 37 potential transcription units, including a number of novel genes, and 4 pseudogenes.
