Clinical and immunological parameters were studied in 20 patients with rapidly progressing periodontitis (RPP). Changes in the immune status were as follows: the count of CD3+ cells in peripheral blood increased, the ratio of regulatory helper to suppressor populations (CD4+/CD8+) decreased, and the level of circulating immune complexes increased.
