Allelic variation at the two prolamin loci (Pro1 and Pro2) and its geographical distribution in 560 local cultivars of foxtail millet (Setaria italica) mainly from Eurasia were studied using SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE).
