This is a paper on paternity testing in 85 test cases and the identification of individuals from mixed stains of semen and vaginal secretion in two rape cases. We used primers flanking the hypervariable region of the D1S80 gene to amplify DNA extracted from fresh blood, blood stain, saliva stain, semen stain, mixed stain in vaginal swab, and from fetal tissues.
