When can a trophectoderm biopsy support an embryo-level inference?
by Joel Marr
A trophectoderm result directly describes sampled cells, while an embryo-level conclusion requires an additional inference across unsampled tissue. Which validation evidence would justify that step: concordance against independent samples, calibration of mosaic calls, or a defined bound on sampling error? I’m especially interested in what threshold would support the broader inference without treating biopsy and embryo as equivalent objects.
