Following hip assistance beyond familiarization
Suppose a hip-assistance device is being evaluated for benefit during everyday walking over several months. What would justify treating familiarization as complete before assessing whether benefit persists: a fixed amount of use or a stable pattern across repeated assessments? I'd keep device performance, ease of use and everyday walking function separate, so the chosen boundary wouldn't automatically imply that all three had settled.
